These are a series of models based on Alice in Wonderland which culminated in my final entry for the Penguin Book Design competition.

NYC Sketchbook.

I believe that strong research is the foundation of a strong project. It is for this reason that i will be frequently displaying work from my own sketchbooks. Here, i am presenting drawings from my trip to New York in the autumn of 2009. It is strange to see in hindsight, the things that grabbed your attention and compelled you to record them, for instance, it is evident from these drawings that i have an odd fascination with the american policeman.

Facebook Faces Of Our Times.

OK, so with the premise of using photographs from Times magazine as a starting point for doing drawings, i went a bit nuts in the space of a day with the paint application on Facebook. One thing i do like about this set is it's reliance on composition on colour in place of the detail in the space below which is difficult to achieve when using a mouse.

Faces Of Our Times:

Between the ages of 17 and 20, i worked at Ramsgate library. Whilst i was there, i was given the privilege of being able to keep back issues of The Times magazine. Aside from being an immaculately produced publication, it also had stunning photographs which i ended up drawing from. With these drawings i conducted a brief spot of practice on Photoshop to keep it fresh in the memory.
